In the spring, WCWF will host a second season of performance writing. A contest to write a one-act play, an oral essay or a poetry reading will be held in advance of the performance. Rules will be posted the end of March; to be submitted by May 10. Winners will be incorporated into an evening’s on-stage performance at KAFM Radio Room, currently scheduled for June 29 with a matinee performance on June 30.

Last year’s performance generated several plays and dozens of readings, which were put together into a presentation by guest director David Kenworthy. Both the authors of the pieces and professional actors participated.

Often we also host a workshop on how to write a play and how to perform your writing or poetry. Watch for further information on line, on our Facebook page.
