Founded in 2010
The Western Colorado Writers’ Forum was created in response to the many writers on the Western Slope looking for opportunities to learn, read, publish, and teach. Our offerings over the intervening years have included two major conferences with national speakers and teachers; public readings on the street and on air; workshops for writers in all categories from poetry to journalism; community outreach; slam poetry contests; stage performance; open mic opportunities; a podcast offering in-depth interviews with local and regional guests; and even casual monthly networking get-togethers to foster writer connections.
We do not require paid membership, and most of our offerings are free, so we appreciate donations!
