In years past, the Writers’ Forum has solicited donations on a membership basis. COVID has significantly hampered the breadth of benefits traditionally offered. Additionally, we recognize the significant economic hardship some writers in our community have had to face as a result of the pandemic.
Moving forward, we plan to expand the events, programs, and tools we offer in a more accessible and equitable way to empower as many writers as possible to rise to the challenges of our time.
To that end, we are ending our traditional membership program and seeking donations based on what one can give or feels moved to give to enhance literary events on the Western Slope.
Below are our giving levels and corresponding acknowledgements from which you can choose. You can also choose to give anonymously.
Alternate method for donation: Mail a check to Western Colorado Writers’ Forum, 740 Gunnison, Suite 205, Grand Junction, CO 81501.
WCWF is a 501c3 organization. We are run by a working board of up to 12 board members who meet monthly. Those interested are invited to consider joining the board to help organize and promote the many excellent opportunities that WCWF makes available to the community. We are looking for volunteers on a case by case basis or in any relevant field such as publishing, catering, teaching and mentoring, or sign up to volunteer to help out with any service areas in which you are adept or for any particular event.
To volunteer, contact the board at wcwritersforum (at) gmail.com or leave a message at 970-822-7373.
