Have we got an opportunity for you! \nJoin the Western Colorado Writers’ Forum for our first-ever Write-a-Thon Event\, happening Saturday\, May 30\, 2026\, from 1–5 PM at Hilltop (359 Main St.\, old Wells Fargo Building) in downtown Grand Junction. \nCome write your heart out\, raise funds for WCWF programming and writer events\, and connect with fellow creatives. Gather pledges from your fans and friends (no door-to-door candy bar sales required!). \nWrite-a-Thon Details\nDate & Time:\nSaturday\, May 30\, 2026 · 1:00–5:00 PM \nLocation:\nHilltop Community Resources\, 359 Main Street\, Grand Junction\, CO 81501 \nParking & Entry:\nPark in the visitor lot behind the building off Colorado Ave. Enter through the rear doors. Watch for signs and friendly faces! \nDonations:\n\n$25 entry fee (extra donations always welcome!)\nBring-a-Friend-for-Forty: $40 total when you both show up ready to write!\nOr cover the entry fee by collecting $25+ in pledges from your cheering section – friends\, family\, barista\, hairdresser\, your neighbor with the cute dog\, but you only know the dog’s name… anyone who loves a good cause!\n\nBoth Venmo and cash are accepted\, but cash is preferred. All donations support the Western Colorado Writers’ Forum\, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization serving the writing community in Western Colorado. \nAgenda Highlights:\n\nWriting sprints: 25 minutes of pure focus\, followed by quick stretch breaks.\nSnacks and refreshments to keep your creativity fueled.\nA mid-event trivia showdown – show off those random writing facts!\n\nCelebration wrap-up with prizes and applause\, and congrats all around for getting a bunch of writing done. \nPrize Opportunities:\n\nAnonymous Writing Contest: Bring a short piece (100 words MAX). We’ll read them anonymously\, and the crowd will pick their favorite!\nMost Words Written: Prizes for both handwritten heroes and speedy typists.\nTrivia Champ: One winner earns bragging rights (and a prize!).\n\nSpots will fill fast! \nRegister by May 22. This helps us plan our writing space\, and snacks and refreshments. Let’s make pages\, pledges\, and memories!
