SUMMARY:October Writer's Night - Get the Scoop: Western Colorado Voices\, an Anthology of Stories\, Essays and Poetry
DESCRIPTION:The Western Colorado Writers’ Forum is pleased to announce a new upcoming anthology\, Western Colorado Voices: An Anthology of Stories\, Essays\, and Poetry. Submissions will open to western Colorado residents from November 1st to January 31st. Short stories of any genre and non-fiction pieces under 3\,000 words will be considered. We will also include poetry. \nFull submission guidelines\, including pay rates\, will be released at our writer’s night on October 1\, 2024\, where the editors will answer questions about what they are looking for and the process of creating the book from start to finish. \nRSVPs requested to attend this special session held at the Grand Junction Art Center. DESCRIPTION:Join fellow writers and WCWF board members at our monthly happy hour. It’s a great opportunity to get to know your fellow writers in a casual and relaxed atmosphere. We know you’re a bunch of introverts – come see us anyway! It really is fun. Then you can go home and rest after all that “peopling” you did. \nWe meet the third Thursday of every month from 4-6 p.m. at Kannah Creek in Grand Junction\, located at 1960 N. 12th Street. \nWe only request an RSVP if you are bringing a large party\, like 6 or so.
